Lisette Lagnado was Born in Kinshasa / Congo in 1961, but she adopted Brazilian citizenship and resides in São Paulo. She holds a PhD in Philosophy at the SPU, with a thesis on Hélio Oiticica and his “Environmental Program”. She holds a Magister diploma in Communication and Semiotic (PUC/SP). Professora no Mestrado em Artes Visuais at the Faculty of Santa Marcelina, São Paulo. She acted as curator at the 27th São Paulo Biennial Art Exhibition-2006 under the motto “How to Live Together”, a biennial art exhibition dedicated to the dissemination of art through the city and exchange with different communities. She acted as a curator, together with María Berríos, at the art exhibition Drift Detours- Experiences, Voyages and Morphologies at the “Reina Sofía” Museum, May-August 2010. This exhibition gathers utopian architecture projects and the works of Architects-artists, such as Flávio de Carvalho, Lina Bo and Roberto Matta.
